Documentation for GodLike Gaming Theme

Step 1: Login to your WordPress admin panel and navigate to Appearance → Themes.

Step 2: Click Add New button at the top of the page, then the Upload Theme button on the next page.

Step 3: Select godlike.zip included in the files downloaded from Themeforest and click Install Now.

Final Step: Once the file is uploaded and installed, click Activate.

The GodLike requires some plugins to operate correctly. It’s easy to install and activate them in one click.

Step 1: After activating the theme, in the notification message on the top of the admin page, click the Begin Installing Plugins link.

Step 2: Select all the plugins in the list and choose Install from the Dropdown menu, then click Apply.

Note: Importing demo content is optional.

The GodLike comes with single-click importable demo content (pages, blog posts, forum, etc.) to help you get started if you have a fresh WordPress installation.

Before importing, make sure you have installed the Theme and recommended Plugins. Before performing the following steps, you must have installed the plugin nK Themes Helper

1. Navigate to Godlike → Demo Import.
2. Read Important Notes.
3. Select Demo and Click Import (import time depends on the speed of the Internet connection on your server and their resources).

If the menu is not available after the import, you can fix it

1. Navigate to Appearance → Menus and select Manage Locations tab
2. In this tab, set the appropriate menu types, as shown below
3. Save you settings and check it

Mega Menu

To build this type of menu, follow the instructions:

1. Navigate to Appearance → Menus and add own menu or edit existing
2. For select tab 1 lvl, for example, Elements, click on Mega Menu checkbox and add Mega Menu Background Image as shown below.
3. Save menu and check the result.

Warning: For use Customizer options you need to install the Kirki plugin if you have not done so in the previous install plugins step

After installing the theme, navigate to Appearance → Customize.

Here you have access to all the theme’s configuration settings. Each setting is commented and very straight-forward and should be easy to understand and configure.

The GodLike supports live preview of all customizations, so you may preview any changes before saving them.

Warning: For use Meta Boxes options you need to install the Advanced Custom Fields plugin if you have not done so in the previous step

After adding another post you can use this options

And if you want to override the global settings use meta boxes that are located after content (available for all pages and posts)

Here you have access to all the theme’s configuration settings. Each setting is commented and very straight-forward and should be easy to understand and configure.

The GodLike automatically resizes images to make them look nice despite their location in templates.

Minimum recommended image sizes:

Horizontal Images: 1280x720px

Square Images: 400x400px

The list of available resolutions:

• 48×48
• 90×90
• 150×150
• 200×200
• 300×300
• 400×400
• 500×375
• 600×600
• 800×450
• 800×600
• 1280×720
• 1400×600
• 1440×900
• 1920×1080

Please try to select images that match the minimal dimensions to avoid whitespace, bad alignment and other image related problems.

If you install The GodLike on the existing blog with existing images we strictly recommend that you should regenerate your images.

Please install and run Regenerate Thumbnail plugin.

In order to make use of contact forms, make sure you’ve installed and activated Contact Form 7 plugin.

To create the contact form layout similar to the demo site paste the following code to the Form field, located in Contact → Contact Forms:

For ease of editing your pages and posts we highly recommend use Visual Composer for building pages.

With examples of shortcodes you can look in the elements tab on main menu.

To be able to import and update GodLike themes we recommend using our nK Themes Helper plugin included in the required list.

After install you have access to next options

In this panel, you can update GodLike and check the hosting for minimum requirements of GodLike theme.

This panel contains a list of all recommended to install plugins.
